Fister Design, Inc. was founded in 2008 by Irene Fister as a way to step out as a designer on her own. A senior designer for over 16 years for other firms, Irene wanted a platform to come up with interesting and creative ideas. Her vision was to incorporate her experience with her personal aesthetic. Irene designs for both commercial and residential spaces, including doctor’s offices. It seems that doctor’s stress the importance of a high quality esthetic facility “due to the type of service they themselves provide, such as dermatologist, plastic surgeon and dentists offices.” With high profile clients, including one of the inventors of the non- invasive procedure Coolsculpting, Bowes Dermatology, Irene Fister has experience meeting the expectations for luxurious, fully functioning professional spaces and private residences.

And that is how she assumes every client’s projects, leaving her a proud part of a home!

Not glued to work in just Miami, her current projects include the renovations of various Country Clubs for Golf Resorts located throughout the United States, three are in Akron/Canton, Ohio, four in Arizona and her most recent projects in Los Angeles, California and Northern Virginia. She is also in the middle of redesigning the interiors of several private residences in Coconut Grove, Miami Beach, Weston and Pinecrest.

Without missing a beat, Irene is also in the middle of negotiating various projects for the future. Her work has not gone unnoticed receiving 2013 Innovative Designer Award as Finalist for the City National Bank, Better Beach Awards with the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. The popular interior design website Houzz.com awarded Irene with the prestigious 2012 Remodeling Award. In 2008, she was selected as a judge for a Costa Rican architectural school’s design competition.

How Irene takes on a project is be commencing with the most important part which is the creative part. Getting close to the client, learning what they like, what they want and more importantly, what is the need. For a space to be functional and comfortable, Irene makes a point to learn all she can to fill a space with details that will make it a home to the individual.

The beauty of being a designer is that you put your personal likes aside, and organize the client’s ideas. A designer makes them a reality with their familiarity of architecture, finishes and textures. With her own knowledge, Irene Fister has created modern, classic, traditional, contemporary and eclectic environments in houses, offices, and various other spaces.

One of her best recommendations to those wanting to make a change at home is to find a professional, one that will help actualize your thoughts. She emphasizes this in particular for remodeling projects. One needs to know about the structures, electrical, plumbing, and infinite details, a professional will know which permits are required, which tools will be most effective, and they will essentially take away a large headache from you.

To clients thinking of renovating or creating a new home, Irene Fister’s advice is to be realistic with your budget. Construction has a lot of hidden costs, so don’t forget about those! Don’t start the project until you are positive of what you want, to think about the needs of the rooms, and to hire professionals. The most important piece of advice though, is to enjoy the process. Irene stresses to always remember to have fun, explore and love what you are doing and that is how she takes on every project she has worked on for over the past 18 years. With that energy, any project will be a sure success.
